I have mentioned earlier that my mom is in town and have been staying with me and my sister for almost a month now. Needless to say that I am enjoying every bit of her stay with perks like home-cooked food, an organized home and kitchen and the best part is that there is someone always waiting for me when I am back home from office. 🙂 (more…)
#Pondicherry Diaries – Part 1
2015 has been a not-much-travel year for me. Apart from a quick trip to here & there nearby, I was somehow not able to manage a proper break, away from the fast-pace and tiring life around me. And this was why, I was longing for a proper holiday. Lazy, peaceful and some good food – this was the kind of break I was interested in. So when I read the tagline (GIVE TIME A BREAK) and the following in the Official Website of Department of Tourism, Government of Puducherry, I knew where I had to go. 🙂
“If peace and a break is the most sought after, then Pondicherry is surely one of the choicest holiday destinations in South India. The town offers a unique experience with its mix of modern heritage and spiritual culture. With a predominantly historical background, Pondicherry takes one century back in time.”
Very recently I took a trip to Pondicherry (I prefer this over Puducherry, don’t know why). Since we were there for only a brief period, we decided to make our trip to Auroville a quick & brief one. In the visitor’s centre, amongst many other pictures & writings, this dream is what I could connect with the most.

Welcome to the 3rd episode of Photo Friday. 🙂 I love this weekly feature I am doing here every Friday. You can check out the previous ones here & here.
Today’s photo was clicked by me a long time ago on my way to Tezpur, Assam. Yesterday as I was browsing through the pics in my phone, I found it again. As I was staring at it, I realised that somehow it feels that the road ends at the farthest point of the pic my camera captured. At this point, the following lines by Rumi came to my mind – (more…)
A few months ago, I and my friends visited one of the most talked about place in Meghalaya – the Umiam Lake Boat House. Being recommended by many, we were quite excited to go there. And on a sunny Saturday we boarded my new car and set forth for this amazing destination. The 3 hour drive (around 75 kms from Guwahati) in the newly (more…)

I have been missing in action for quite some time now. Lots have been happening…..all at the same time. Today I am sharing about my week long trip to Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, a state in the North Eastern part of India, during the last part of July, 2014.
