I have already shared in Part I & Part II  about the lil’ garden I am nurturing in the balcony of my apartment. Last November, I was in a shop to buy some flower pots. In the counter, I saw some neatly arranged packets of various types of vegetable seeds. And almost instantly, I got the idea to do a vegetable patch, but in a flower pot. I went ahead and brought three varieties of seeds – coriander, spinach & French beans. (more…)

Rooted in Joy (Part II)

Way back in December, 2012, I had shared in Part I (link here) that I have taken up gardening as a hobby, in my own little way. Living in an apartment, I do not have the luxury of a proper veggie patch/ flower bed. But I do have the liberty to grow some plants in pots. Over the last 2 years, I have added a pot or two and now have quite a few pots in my balcony. 🙂 And to my utter delight, I am quite proud of myself for the very fact that I have managed to keep them alive. The fact that all of these plants are very low maintenance plants is also a contributing factor, without any doubt. 😉 (more…)
