I did a post about it here.Very recently I went one step ahead from the last time, while taking a break at my workplace. I made do with whatever coloured/marker pens I could manage with and came up with these: (more…)

In several of my posts earlier, I have shared about my tiny steps into the world of gardening. And if I have to name one person who motivates me to do so, it’s my Deuta (that’s what we call our father in Assamese). He loves (more…)

The glory of gardening – hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed – not just the body, but the soul! ~ Alfred Austin

As I have already shared in my previous posts over the years – Part I, Part II & Part III and one more post, I have slowly and steadily treaded into the world of gardening with my potted plants in the balcony. At present, I have a balcony full of pots with varied plants including a veggie patch too. 🙂 (more…)

Photo Friday (8) – messengers of love

blog postThis post was has been in my drafts folder for quite a long time. I don’t know how I missed posting it for so long. Anyways, as I say always, better late than never! 🙂

These cards/bookmarks are what I call ‘the messengers of love’. Ashima from Lime ‘n’ Lemony had sent them to me on my request. This is part of her project – Art with Heart. She personally handcrafts each one of them, putting in lots of love along with hard work. You can read her post on how she started this project here – Art with Heart. (more…)

Way back in December, 2012, I had shared in Part I (link here) that I have taken up gardening as a hobby, in my own little way. Living in an apartment, I do not have the luxury of a proper veggie patch/ flower bed. But I do have the liberty to grow some plants in pots. The fact that all of these plants are very low maintenance plants is also a contributing factor, without any doubt. 😉 (more…)
