PHOTO FRIDAY (15) – A Message

WP_20150708_003 After a really longggggggg time, I am back with my Photo Friday.

This pic was clicked by me yesterday evening, in a small & busy, local food joint. While I was enjoying a plate of steamed chicken momos, I saw this handwritten message board on top of the wall and almost instantly, it brought a smile to my face. πŸ™‚

I think thisΒ poem I read in my school days, complimentsΒ this pic perfectly –

“What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,

And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

~W. H. Davies

Have a nice weekend! πŸ™‚

  1. A great picture. Something we need to remind ourselves of more often. I’ve always loved that poem. It pairs well with your photo. Hugs my friend.

Would love to hear your thoughts.........
