WWW Wednesday Vol.16

www_wednesdays43Hello book lovers!

It’s Wednesday and time for another episode of WWW, the weekly book meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, we just have to answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

And here are my answers this week:

I am currently reading Supertraits of Superstars by Priyanka Sinha Jha. It is a book on a few selected Bollywood stars who have certain traits or qualities in them from which we can draw inspiration in our lives too. Here is the blurb of the book –

Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar. Each of these celebrities are adored and looked up to by millions who aspire to emulate their success stories. But what is it that separates them, and other Bollywood stars, from the rest? Which is that one defining trait that makes them stand out, and how can you benefit from knowing it?

In this one-of-a-kind book, Priyanka Sinha Jha looks at eleven luminaries from Bollywood, and the attribute that is perhaps most responsible for their success. She details their stories, their struggles, their efforts to overcome setbacks, and what it is about them that made them not just reach the top of their game, but stay there. Be it Amitabh Bachchan’s discipline, Aamir Khan’s perfectionist nature, Salman Khan’s generosity, John Abraham’s enterprise or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s grace—each star has one unique quality that others can imbibe to reach greater heights in their own lives. With pithy observations and inspirational conversations, Supertraits of Superstars will show you how to live life star-size.

I recently finished reading   GONE GIRL by Gillian Flynn. I am still thinking what to say about it. For now I have one word for it – addictive! My thoughts on it shall be up in a post very soon (I know I am way behind in posting my reviews 😦 ).

Regarding the book I will read next, I have No Man’s Land by Nilesh Shrivastava (review copy), The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (self-purchased) & two more books sent by the lovely Bibliobeth to me as I was the winner of her 1st blogoversary giveaway this year – The Flavours of Love by Dorothy Koomson & I am an Executioner by Rajesh Parameswaran. Thanks Bibliobeth! 🙂

      1. That’s what I tell myself. But some changes are hard to make, like when my children grew up and moved away. Changing from being a Mom in charge to an empty- nester still isn’t easy.

  1. Gone Girl is waiting on my shelf and I hope I can crack it open soon! The Time Traveler’s Wife was a great read, I hope you enjoy it!

  2. I’ve heard a lot of mixed thoughts about Gone Girl, so it will be interesting to see what you think about it. I know some people adored it, while others not so much. Hope you enjoyed it!

  3. Hi,

Like yourself, I am way behind in writing up and publishing my reviews, although all the books I have promised to review, have received several promotional posts along the way, so I don’t feel too guilty!

With the exception of ‘Supertraits of Superstars’, all of your books sound good to me, especially your two giveaways, which I find are so much more exciting, simply because they have been won!

I hope that you can manage to make the all important decision about which one to read first and enjoy the rest of the week,

    Yvonne

    1. Thanks for dropping by my blog. 🙂
The pending reviews of books sent by the authors to me makes me feel guilty.
And yes, winning books in giveaways & having them delivered in my doorstep is oh-so-amazing! 😛
I think I know now which one I am reading next! 😀
